Nacido en Extremadura, ha vivido los últimos 20 años en el Sur de España. Es uno de los artistas españoles más destacados de este siglo. Todas sus pinturas son el reflejo de su inmenso conocimiento de estilos y de un gusto muy refinado. No sólo investiga sobre los más diversos períodos como la Cultura Clásica, el Renacimiento o el Manierismo sino que también muestra su especial y personal interpretación de la cultura clásica del sur de España. Ose del Sol imprime tal intensidad, elegancia y perfección a los trajes de los toreros y de las bailaoras de flamenco y tal autenticidad a las texturas, que el observador está inevitablemente tentado a tocar estas superficies casi tridimensionales. Sus representaciones de esculturas antiguas son misteriosas y algunas veces dramáticas pero increíblemente reales, los paisajes, presentaciones arquitectónicas y ornamentales son una pura invitación para detenerse y disfrutar de la belleza.
Born in Extremadura, has spent the last 20 years of his life Southern Spain. He is one of the most prominent new Spanish artists of this century. All his paintings are reflecting his immense knowledge of styles and refined taste. He is not only investigating the most diverse cultural periods like the Classical Antiquity, Renaissance or Mannerism but also showing his very special personal interpretation of ancient Southern Spanish culture. Ose del Sol gives such a prominence to the elegance and preciousness of toreros’ and flamenco-dancers’ costumes and such an authenticity to textures that the beholder is inevitably tented to touch these almost three-dimensional surfaces. His representations of antique sculptures look mysterious and sometimes dramatic but amazingly real, and his landscapes, architectonic views and ornaments are a pure invitation to stay and enjoy the beauty.
